Mazen has more than 30 years of experience in owner-side development, hospitality and major mixed-use programmes. His career includes leadership roles at Jeddah Central Development Company, Al Futtaim Group Real Estate and Majid Al Futtaim Properties, spanning hotel delivery, operator coordination, programme controls and design oversight.
He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology and currently serves as Acting Deputy Chief Development Officer (Contract) at Jeddah Central Development Company.

- Jeddah Central Development Company: ongoing large-scale mixed-use and hospitality development, operator coordination and a multi-architect master-planning competition.
- Al Futtaim Group Real Estate: regional hotel development, including the operating Holiday Inn Dubai Festival City.
- Majid Al Futtaim Properties: delivery of operating hotels including Sheraton Mall of the Emirates, plus refurbishment and design assignments.
- Sabboura, near Damascus: contributed to the initial concept design of a proposed US$5 billion mixed-use development while at Majid Al Futtaim Properties. The proposal included a large retail centre, hotels and residential and commercial facilities; the assignment was at concept stage.
